An All-Ages Novel by Charles Shearer

and Sequel to The Answer Lies in Oz

Being about the initial meeting of and subsequent discoveries by
a traveler of impossible purpose and a native of inexplicable ability

Whom We Shall Meet Herein

Yunoo, a young Apprentice of amateurish aptitude;
Her father, the master of his craft;
Their unscheduled houseguest;
A hairy harrying halberd-hoarding horde;
Sanctioned visitors offering magical victuals;
and
A graceful lady with a real way with words

Yunoo, of "Upon the Name of Oz" fame, also stars in the following Brevitous Accounts of Fictitional Incidents booklets:

Shortly after principle art production of "The Answer Lies in Oz," the writing of a sequel — "Upon the Name of Oz" — began in earnest. Whereas the predecessor novella asks its question at the very beginning and briskly builds to the learning of a simple solution, this follow-up novel details a mystery which deepens with every discovery, and takes its time in doing so. It is, in that way, a bit more grown-up, and hopefully will be regarded as a charming yet challenging account of the haze of childhood just beginning to be dispelled... revealing that the truth is more curious, wondrous, and terrible than we imagine it might be.
